Target Makeup Essentials for Under $30
It’s not a secret that I have an extreme fondness for Target. I can’t help it and I won’t fight it. How can you go wrong when you go in for lemons, but come out with a killer two piece outfit?
Since my love is strong and the majority of my finds come from Tarjay, I figured I’d start a little series of Target favorites - what do you think? We’ll kick if off this week with MAKEUP. I’m talking everyday essentials that work hard, look great and can be used alone or in part of a big makeup look….for under $30.
L'Oreal Paris Brow Stylist Definer ($6.79)
An eyebrow pencil is essential in your kit. A pencil with a fine tip allows you to create a bold, yet natural brow. According to previously featured guest, Alexis, this brow pencil is a dupe for Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz. While I haven’t personally given it a try YET, I’ve done some extensive eyebrow research and this looks to be quite similar. I also trust anyone with a fierce brow…
L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Superstar Mascara ($7.59)
Snag a two for one with this mascara AND primer. If you haven’t tried a primer yet, you’re missing out on bat worthy lashes. If you remember, I used to use baby powder instead of primer. Primer = much better. The Superstar primer/mascara really packs a punch and elevates lashes.
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles Treatment Concealer($7.79)
This product is small, but mighty. Marketed as a concealer, this baby can even been used as full face coverage - love a multitasking product. As someone with really fair skin with a hint of life in it, its sometimes tough to get a color match. Thankfully, this product has a nice range of colors that can work well with most tones. From full makeup to no makeup days (as small swoop under the eyes), this is a great makeup bag addition.
Revlon Photoready Insta-Blush Stick ($5.19)
Ever since I started exploring makeup, I’ve always, always loved a blush. I’ve used pressed powders, stains, liquids and now, sticks. This blush is relatively sheer and perfect for buildable coverage. This is a perfect way to add a little color to your cheeks and create that faux ‘sun stripping’ look without sun damage.
